Margot Roi is an abstract artist based in Oakville, ON. She holds an Arts/Technology Degree from Sheridan College, University of Windsor Honours Bach of Fine Arts and a B Ed from Nipissing University. After a 30-year arts education career, Margot interprets memory of place through forms in nature. Her investigations are guideposts of travelled and recalled experiences. The emotional connections become the narrative for Margot’s intuitive, layered, and gestural styled acrylic paintings. She extends an invitation to the viewer, encouraging them to meander through and around these unique abstract forms, and to forge their own connections of shared experiences that Margot's work seeks to evoke.
