I started Trouble with Trivets 3 years ago after a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with my mother in law. I had just learned the laser cutter at the local maker space and wasn't sure what to make yet. When my mother in law pulled out 12 trivets to serve her home cooked meal, I had an epiphany! I started making my hand cut paper snowflakes into wooden trivets. Thus, Trouble with Trivets was born. Since then, my work has evolved into more intricate wall hanging mandalas.
